Shipping policy
At Donkerberg Deli & Meats, we are committed to delivering your orders with the highest level of service. Please take a moment to review our shipping and delivery guidelines:
1. Placement, Processing, and Delivery of Orders
1.1. The responsibility for placing an order lies with the customer, who must do so through any of our available platforms or technologies. Processing of an order begins once payment has been received and reflected in our account. Delivery timeframes will be considered only once the payment has been successfully settled.
1.2. Orders can be canceled up to 1 day before the scheduled delivery date. Any cancellations made after this period will be non-refundable and will be considered a successful order.
1.3. Donkerberg Deli & Meats is not liable for any delayed deliveries resulting from unforeseen circumstances or valid reasons beyond our control.
1.4. Delivery may take up to three to four weeks from the time of order placement to ensure the highest quality of products are delivered to you. We take extra care in sourcing and preparing our items, which may result in extended delivery times.
2. Delivery Terms
2.1. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all items are checked on delivery. Once the customer signs for delivery, this serves as acknowledgment that the order in its entirety has been checked in full and is delivered complete. The customer further acknowledges that the order was received in good condition.
2.2. Please ensure that someone is present at the delivery address (“Delivery Address”) to receive and sign for the delivery. Some of the goods may be perishable and must be refrigerated or frozen immediately upon arrival.
2.3. If no one is available to receive the order, the goods will be returned to our premises. A R100 fee will be charged for re-delivery, or the products can be collected at our premises.
2.4. If you do not request a redelivery or collect the goods within 48 hours of the initial delivery, your order will be canceled, and you will be issued a credit note to the value of your purchase.
2.5. Our obligation to deliver goods is fulfilled when we deliver the goods to the Delivery Address or when you collect the goods from our premises.
2.6. If we are unable to deliver the goods by the selected delivery date, we will inform you promptly. You may cancel your order within 24 hours of receiving such notification, and we will reimburse you the purchase price.
2.7. Delivery delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as heavy traffic, adverse weather conditions, or logistical challenges with our delivery partner.
3. Standard Delivery Policy
3.1. Deliveries are made between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM on scheduled delivery days. We do not deliver on Sundays or Public Holidays.
3.2. You will be contacted on the morning of your delivery to confirm an estimated time of delivery.
3.3. For Western Cape regions, please note that delivery may take 3-5 business days due to the distance and logistics involved.
3.4. Deliveries will be handled through our courier partner, Courier Guy, who will ensure your order arrives in good condition and within the specified timeframe.
4. Order Verification and Receipt
4.1. Upon receiving your order, please ensure all products are thoroughly checked to confirm that all items have been delivered as expected. By signing the receipt, you acknowledge that all products have been delivered by Donkerberg Deli & Meats and received in full.
4.2. If you notice any discrepancies or damages, please contact us immediately to resolve the issue.
5. Additional Information
5.1. Shipping Fees: Shipping costs are calculated based on the delivery location and weight of the order. Final shipping fees will be shown at checkout.
5.2. Tracking Your Order: Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number to monitor the progress of your delivery via Courier Guy.
5.3. Delivery Address: Please ensure that the delivery address provided is accurate and complete. Any incorrect or incomplete addresses may result in delays or failed delivery attempts.
